Leonardo Da Vinci

Leonardo Da Vinci is famous for being the quintessential Renaissance Man; someone who appears to be a jack of all trades. He was a polymath, with his knowledge of anatomy, art, design, invention, and more. While his accomplishments are too numerous to list here, we can say his ability lied in his innate curiosity. He wanted to know everything about everything. It was a strength and a weakness, as most traits are. It granted him genius and cemented his place in history, but it also made him flighty and somewhat weak-willed. In his time, he was notorious for rarely seeing a project through to completion because something else had captured his interest and he raced off in a mad dash after it. It made him difficult to work with, but everywhere he went, his genius was evident, and though his art has been famous for the last 500 years, the true depths of his knowledge and understanding weren’t made clear until we found his journals depicting his most private thoughts.

Note: You’ll notice that this is an Instagram caption as well as a blog post. I’m trying a bit of double dipping here, partially because I like what I wrote, and partially because I am shamelessly indulging my interest in the man.
